Earlier this year I had the absolute pleasure to be part of Davide and Hollie's Wedding, bringing two cultures together, Davide originally from Italy and Hollie quintessentially (ooo I love that word!) British. Every little detail had been taken care of with personal touches second to none. The most wonderful thing about having a fusion wedding, is these very personal touches but that can be said about any wedding! I have so many brides and grooms stressed out worrying about it all 'being perfect' or 'being different' or even 'capturing them', but my response is always the same, it will always come together on the day, because when two people head over hills in love get married, they connect, they become one, surrounded by their nearest and dearest, so it therefore can't help but be personal, it can't help being special when the couple clock each other for the first time, when your eyes meet and you get to see that quite often nervous smile, your tummy will bubble and flip and you will have the most wonderful day, that you'll treasure for ever!
Now back to Hollie and Davide, I had the amazing pleasure of providing a cake table for their big day, they had everything you could imagine from Peanut Butter Cheese cake, Lemon Drizzle to Summer Berry Bundt, as well as the ultimate show down Triffle (British!) Vs Tiramusu (Italian!). I had so much fun making this and the smell was absolutely stunning!
Davide and Hollie thought of all the little details as well as some of the bigger ones, including even bringing their own furniture into the village hall. But this was what made their day so special, Davide makes, restores and upcylcles beautiful furniture so it was so important to have this involved. Having recently started his own business, together with Hollie he's now expanding and has recently opened The Garden Shed in Tantobie, you must pay it a visit, filled full of this gorgeous furniture and beautiful vintage homely touches that you'll be dying to bring away with you.
One of the other key features of Hollie and Davide's Wedding was the local suppliers they used, including the amazing Sally T Photography, pop over to her page and say hello, she has captured the magic of their day, with images that will literally make you swoon!
