I always wanted a 4 tier open Victoria sponge cake for our wedding but I really struggled to find a cake specialist to do it. They either wouldn't do it as they claimed it would be dry without icing or wanted to charge the same price as a fully iced cake which I felt was not value got money.
Then I met Sara at a wedding fair and I immediately loved her work. Our wedding was vintage themed and her cakes and sweet bites were all beautifully suitable for our big day. I spoke to her and she priced the cake accordingly (unlike the others I approached). After seeing her cakes, hearing her ideas and tasting her samples, booked her on the spot!
Sara worked with us to give us exactly what we wanted. She gave suggestions on flavours and advised which fruits would look best to decorate our cake with. She suggested 2 cakes Victoria sponge and 2 lemon cakes. Her lemon curd and jam inside were homemade and tasted gorgeous! The cakes were moist, perfectly decorated and just stunning to look at.
Our 4 tier cake was not the stereotypical wedding cake but that didn't matter to Sara. She didn't try to change our vision- she simply made it come true! Her customer focus made me feel relaxed and I trusted her because she kept me in the loop. Sara also seemed to care that our day went perfect and she even emailed after the day to make sure we were happy. She even asked me to send her some pics of us. It felt that she cared!
I have recommended her to everyone I know and can't thank her enough for adding to our perfect special day!
